Large comfortable room thst slept my family of five and great breakfast.
Althought our room was non smoking, there were smoking rooms in our floor. When we walked out our door it was like entering a bar. Very strong smell of smoke that made us want to run to the elevators. I did not feel that was appropriate and do not like my children to be exposed to that.
it was very clean inside and outside which really made me want to stay longer but we all have to leave our secret getaway sometime. since i just got back from deployment and not always having hot water it was amazing to have all the hot water you could ever wish for.
We were upgraded to a suite without asking which was a plus. The room was very nice as was the bathroom too. The continental breakfast was also a big hit with all of my children. Definitely would stay again at this Holiday Inn.
Only negative was that it was a little hard to locate, it was a little off the main road and access to the hotel was a little confusing.
I liked a lot of things about this hotel. First, smoking and non-smoking rooms are in separate wings of the hotel, so if you're a non-smoker, you never even catch a whiff of smoke. Second, the breakfast is a hot one, with bacon or sausage as your meat and cheese omelets or scrambled eggs. There are also Southern-style biscuits and country gravy, as well as four types of cereal—from the highly to the lightly sweetened—and a broad choice of pastries. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a microwave, fridge, coffee-maker, hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner. You get chocolates and a personalized welcome letter on your first night, plus a thank-you note your last night. Usa Today newspaper is free for all guests, left outside your room door each night. The hotel also has a vending/travel supplies area where you can purchase refrigerated/frozen dinners that you can heat up in your room microwave or anything from a razor to a sewing kit. The staff is very friendly and professional. The front desk offers little free treats, such as cookies. Good location, across from the Cross Creek Mall, with a lot of restaurants, shopping, etc., near by. The room is quiet, despite all of the nearby stores, restaurants and busy road. Plenty of parking. A pretty good location to get to anywhere in Fayetteville. The hotel provides a map of the main streets in the area, although you might want to supplement it with a more detailed one if you're going to residential areas or out-of-the-way places. Altogether a very pleasant place to stay.
These aren't really dislikes—more like things I'd have liked to have had. I found nothing disagreeable about the hotel and would happily recommend it to anyone as a very nice place to stay. I missed having a handhold for getting into and out of the shower. As boomers get older, more and more people are going to need those. The hotel had a "green" towel and linens program, whereby if you left your towels hanging up, the cleaning staff would leave those alone. I'm not sure the cleaning staff had been informed about the program, though, since they replaced my hung-up towels with fresh ones, anyway. I wish the hotel had a place to re-cycle plastic—that would go nicely with the green towels and linens program. A very little quibble: I wish the hotel also had microwaveable paper cups for making tea. All they had were styrofoam, which cannot be microwaved. These are all very minor observations, though; I wouldn't really say they were dislikes. They were more things that I'd like to see, but nothing that the hotel did wrong in any way. As I said above, I'd happily recommend staying at this hotel to anyone—you'll have a good experience there.
Clean, quiet, safe area
The staff was extremely helpful courteous and friendly. The apples on the table at the entrance was a "welcoming" idea
THE LOCATION ......needs to be bigger signs or other pieces of information about the directions when someone is booking the hotel
The high beds were DIVINE!!!! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. We had a great stay.
This had nothing to do with the hotel itself, but there were several kids/teens roaming the halls in the middle of the night being loud.
Friendly staff and really comfortable room. Breakfast was very nice
Everything was great
I loved walking into my room and seeing certain items in room personalized with my name on it!
I enjoyed everything!
King-size bed was AMAZING!
No vent in bathroom.
Room (and entire facility) was clean, fresh and inviting.
Their computer system had been hacked, and as a result a phone call to our room attempted to obtain or credit card number by masquerading as a manager. When i went to the front desk to tell them about this, they already knew and yet were doing nothing to alert guests to this ongoing scam. Totally unacceptable, and I assume that they will be hearing from lawyers representing guests that had, in fact, fallen for the scam.
Loved the bed.
Great staff and faculty
I wish it wasn't so far behind everything.
